Victoria Waugh-Reed is the Statewide Youth Suicide Prevention Coordinator in the DOH Office of School and Adolescent Health. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling and has 20 years of experience as a School Counselor in New Mexico’s rural and urban public schools. Victoria has worked with school crisis intervention teams throughout New Mexico as an interventionist, trainer, and coordinator. For the past 17 years, Victoria has served on the New Mexico Crisis Support Team (formerly known as the NM CISM Team), providing crisis interventions for EMS, fire, law enforcement, and other emergency personnel. In addition to suicide prevention and threat assessment management, she coordinated the Albuquerque Public Schools district stress management and recovery team (DSMaRT). She is a QPR Master Trainer, with 20 years of experience in school stress management and recovery.
