Biography 

Patricio Larragoite, DDS is a graduate of the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry .He was in private solo practice dentistry in Santa Fe, New Mexico for 23 years He became the Director of Dental Allied Health Programs at the Santa Fe Community College establishing a dental assistant program receiving accreditation in two years. Dr. Larragoite simultaneously established a Medicaid only dental clinic on campus, serving two purposes. A controlled clinical environment for dental assistant students and providing much needed access to Medicaid dental care for the area, at the same time providing a revenue stream for the allied health dental programs. 

Two years later Dr. Larragoite was appointed as Executive Director of the New Mexico Health Policy Commission becoming the only Oral Health Provider to ever hold this position. During this time Dr. Larragoite created the Governors Oral Health Council which providing Oral Health Policy information concerning access, cost, and workforce issues. After holding this position for 5 years Dr. Larragoite began providing oral health services  for Native Americans in New Mexico. Serving the Navajo Nation while employed for Presbyterian Medical Services in Cuba New Mexico for three years. He then become the Dental Director for Cochiti Pueblo for three years. He then became the Dental Director for Dental Programs for the Pueblo of San Felipe helping coordinate electronic health records and establishing digital radiography for the dental programs. Dr. Larragoite was a finalist for the Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellowship 2006.
