GENERAL COMMENTS

Excellent. Will be back next year

Good food

Great conference. Thank you.

Over all the conference was great this was the first time and I really learned a lot from all the topics. Hope I can attend future ones. Thank you and bless all that put this retreat together.

I prefer paper evaluation forms, CME certificates.
Evaluation did not have “Did not attend’ as option for simultaneous sessions

Thank you NMDOH CHW program for the scholarship that allowed me to attend the conference. Networking with programs involved in presentations and attendees helps to understand the health and overall needs of different age groups.

The conference was well planned and very informative. We should be allowed to receive continuing education credits regardless of which track we attend, in fact, I feel that it would benefit the entire group greatly, because in order to integrate our professions, we need to learn more about each other’s issues.

This survey asks for 4 levels of satisfaction, but there are 5 stars. One of those stars should be N/A, because we can only attend one presentation per time slot. The survey cannot be submitted unless the other presenters are rated which cannot be done if we did not attend. Those classes not attended by me are rated as 1’s, which makes it appear that the presenters did not do well.

Good job

Side bar comment I could not return to the evaluation online form and make changes such as course for the medical tract of community heath workers tract which I accidentally begin to fill out and I could not go back and change as it turns out I could not submit with out completing evaluation for all coures whethet I attended or not

I enjoyed the conference and a lot of information was given. I plan to use the information/education I received, in my clinic and community.

This for is ridiculous and needs to be given and filled out the old way as in the past. Much easier to give an accurate summary when all material is fresh. Not 5 days later or when I finally get back to a computer. Other than Dr. Williams, my recollection of the other presentations is vague.

Overall Excellent Retreat and Presentation and staff did a great job!

None

I love the facility. The speakers where so amazing. The information hit home.

Thank you for holding this retreat

I did not attend the Saturday session. So I cannot effectively rate the instructor and the topic presented.

The retreat exceeded my expectations! It was excellent. Great job. I would have appreciated some healthy vegetarian food at lunch on Friday – some protein and not just salad and carbs.

*should have a more formal method for the time keeper to keep all speakers on time instead of the speaker yelling out “how much time do i have”, this happened several times. Also, designate more than one person besides Jerry to do this, it would free him up to attend to other matters as they come about.
* it is ok to read a short bio of the speakers, ask for volenteers ahead of time to do this (ie., members of planning comm).
*during sec. gallagher’s talk, the power, went off causing her to talk w/o the sound system, a quicker response should have been aranged with the host venue to assure an interruption like this is corrected asap.

I enjoyed the retreat. It was my first one and met my expectations.

Great retreat will attend every year!! The food was great!! Vendors great!!

I enjoyed the retreat and met very nice people working in various healthcare agencies , the food was great and everyone was friendly as well as knowledgable .

Wonderful meeting–thank you!

Higher quality presenters need more time, how many years I have expressed this need to you all.

Provide presenters longer allotted times if needed. Example: Steven Perlman

well organized, professional delivery

The hotel staff made a mess of reservations, I requested floor level accommodations and was placed on the second floor. We had specified what we needed and it did not occur. Staff was very matter of fact. Several of us had issues with the assigned rooms.

Loved having longer lunch/networking time

The meals were very delicious as well as the refreshments, thank you.

Snapshot of NMDOH Community Health Worker Core Competencies Training
Unfortunately for me, I feel that I did not have a chance to learn any thing new in this particular session.
These competences are broad, general abilities that go beyond knowledge acquisition and problem solving skills.
I would like to see more collaborative practice and team work suggests and range of competences that are needed to work effectively within the interprofessional healthcare environment.
I would suggest to invite someone outside New Mexico.

Need more Sessions geared toward CHW
on specific topics like case management, Chronic illness education (ex.DM, Asthma, Obesity) conducting effective home visits, MI, case presentation, social resources, social determinants of health, smoking cessation

It was good and I enjoyed the site that it took place. A lot of valuable information was presented at the conference. I was hoping a lot more focus on self care for community health workers, too many times we don’t get pampered and yet we do so much work. But as community Health workers we are there for the love of helping our people no matter what it takes to help them.

Good staff and good food.

Great job to everyone! Glad to hear the online registration system worked!

The conference was very educational and informative. It was a great opportunity to learn and network.

Facilities were nice and the food was great!

One hour for presentations was often not enough time for the presenting professional to discuss pertinent information- most seemed rushed with little time for Q & A- suggest 1:20 minutes with short break between speakers.

I always appreciate the good work done by NMHR , Melissa and Jerry, et al !
I believe that this is the 15th conference that I have attended.
Thank you so much!

Good retreat, next time try not to schedule during other large conventions so more people can attend event.

I really enjoyed the conference, the location was great! Overall one of the best conference I been to. Thank you for the scholarship!

Steven Perlman was an amazing speaker and have so much information

I think the retreat was overall very good a lot of info to take in. there where a few things that I felt here a bit to advanced issues but I think all of the presenters did a awesome job.

I didn’t like the way the screen was positioned. Last year it was in the other corner and access was better

Love the meeting!

It was a great program – good content, good collaboration, good facility and food.

Disappointed our last speaker was changed. Hope we can get an oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy speaker in future.

The professionals that presented on a variety of health concerns in the state of New Mexico were excellent and covered each topic fully.
The cost is reasonable considering the quality of presenters but it could be unaffordable for some individuals.

(I was fortunate to receive a scholarship. I appreciate that very much.)

Overall great!

This was my first time attending the retreat. I found the event to be interesting as I did gain knowledge about dental health. It was also nice to see acquaintances that I had not seen in several years. I would attend the retreat again and the food was good.

Well done, as always. Generally good speakers.

This was an overall great conference because
I learned a lot and currently sharing what I learned

none everything turned out good.
