Dr. Hsi is a professor and the director of the Institute for Resilience, Health, and Justice at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. As an experienced pediatrician, he has focused on developing systems of care for children and families affected by prenatal alcohol and drug exposure, family violence, parental mental illnesses, and unsupported teen parenting. His research interests has included investigation into how primary care providers can structure patient encounters for primary and secondary prevention of the effects of prenatal substance use in family systems.
