Catherine Flaitz, D.D.S., M.S., is adjunct professor, Division of Pediatric Dentistry, The Ohio State University and soon will be clinical professor, Department of Diagnostic and Biological Sciences, The University of Colorado Anschutz School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Flaitz earned her dental degree from Creighton University and received specialty certification and M.S. degree in pediatric dentistry, followed by specialty certification in oral and maxillofacial pathology from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She participates on multiple editorial boards including Pediatric Dentistry, Journal of the American Dental Association, and Journal of Dentistry for Children. She serves as the pediatric dentistry consultant for the Commission on Dental Accreditation and is the past member of the Board of Trustee, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Presently, Dr. Flaitz is a director, American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology. Dr. Flaitz maintains a clinical practice and consultation service with a focus on caring for both children and adults who are medically complex.
